On October 10th, it’s an all genre Christmas party and I’m celebrating the release of my new Highland wolf book: A Highland Wolf Christmas–TODAY starting at 10 am Central Standard Time!
Bear order completed last night and typed notes from the plane on Call of the Cougar. Have 2 more bear orders I want to finish today. But it’s time to PARTY!!!
And this wonderful review from Jen on That’s What I’m Talking About!
I am so glad to have finally been able to read Calla and Guthrie’s story. These two have been circling each other for a while now as secondary characters, and I very much enjoyed how their obvious fascination for one another played out. Although they’ve known each other for most of their lives, except for the time Calla’s family lived elsewhere, they really don’t know each other well at all. But, from the beginning of the book, Calla and Guthrie are revealed to be surprising and unpredictable, and it doesn’t take long for a grudging proximity to one another to turn into an undeniable and sweet attraction.
Although I’ve liked all of Ms. Spear’s leading clan wolves for various reasons, Guthrie may be my favorite of them yet. As the pack accountant, he’s more somber and analytical, as well as more skeptical and hesitant, than the other members of his family. Guthrie is lacking in the alpha-male blustering that his brothers have expressed so comically in previous stories, his drive to ensure the survival of himself and his pack dictating nearly all of his decisions. He’s just as strong and willing to fight as the others, but his approach is as much about purpose as passion.
On October 7th, Grace Burrowes, Terry Spear, and Carolyn Brown all released Christmas romances! From October 1st to 21st, Sourcebooks is celebrating with a ‘Holiday Blog Hop’ which includes an iPad mini giveaway to help get readers in the holiday spirit. Today I am thrilled to be sharing a naughty excerpt from A HIGHLAND WOLF CHRISTMAS with you, enjoy!

It’s going to take a lot of mistletoe…
Guthrie MacNeill, financial advisor for his clan and werewolf pack, is at his wit’s end when the pack leader’s mate hires a gorgeous party planner to bring holiday cheer to the castle. Guthrie’s wildly attracted to Calla, except he can’t reconcile the fact that his job is to save the clan’s money, and hers seems to be to spend it.
Okay, got to run and get ready for the party!!! For the iPad giveaway from Sourcebooks at Rabid Reads, click on the site of the giveaway and enter. 🙂 ❤
