Juvenile Bluebird

A new bird to the garden! Well, at least I had never seen one before. It’s a juvenile Eastern bluebird.

These are what I’m used to seeing. Female in the tree, tint of blue gray wings and rust and white belly, and the bright blue male with rust and white belly. I had never seen on with speckles and no rusty breast feathers.

And the bluebirds usually stay out of the yard, but this one was right on my bird feeder. They don’t eat seeds. They eat live insects, so they’re great to have around.

Nearly to the halfway point!!!

If I don’t get bogged down in edits on other books or other stuff…I’ll release it by the end of June!
